Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon

These turbines generate lots of clean hydroelectric power. Without them, Las Vegas would have trouble existing.

Red Rock Canyon is on the edge of the Vegas valley.

It's one of the best recreation areas in America, for cycling, hiking, and rock climbing.

I was surprised to discover that Las Vegas receives snow in most years, though it averages one inch.
